Rondo is a true Celtic. This whole team is like all great Celtic teams, hustle, heart, hard work and desire.

Wilbon with the apt analogy:  this was reminiscent of the Bird game against the Pacers in 1991, where he smacked his face on the court.  Rondo didn't have Bird's production, but the emotional impact was similar.

Just shows how much this guy wants it... My hat goes off to him, but let's hope he's good for Monday.

Apt indeed. I recall that game fondly.

Rondo's toughness and heart is why he's one of my favorite Celtics ever.

Remember LeBron cring about his elbow last year against us? Yeah, well, Rondo just played with one arm and outplayed the entire Miami team (and Chris Bosh on a sweet hustle play). Love the kid.

I'm not sure if I can, but I really want to make the comparison between Rondo getting on with it even after dislocating an elbow and Lebron packing it in last year because of 'mild elbow discomfort' (with a remedy of south beach).

Great game by Rondo.  The odd part that may actually pay off is that

A) Miami tried to pressure him more.  That actually works out better for Rondo.

B) We saw a bit more Delonte.  And while Rondo is better than Delonte, when Delonte is in with the Big Three, they're very tough to guard.  You can't sag off of Delonte.

Miami trying to "exploit" this injury could be their downfall.

Yeah, I remember.  Rondo's elbow > Lebron's elbow.  Rondo's heart > LeBron's heart.  I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Rondo's penis > LeBron's penis, too.

I was all over LeBron for staring at his elbow every time he missed a shot last year, but after watching the way people attack Rondo for his play when he isn't at his healthiest I can't really blame James. He seems to have a good handle on his audience.
