This is the injury that put Shaq on the shelf in February. Also kept Bynum out a couple of weeks this year. Obviously the severity matters. When Bynum got hurt he said he could not walk on it the next morning and eventualy had to use a walking boot.

I can't believe the number of injuries we've had this season. It's just crazy, I've never seen anything like it in any sport and I've followed teams for many, many years now. Just crazy.

It's what happens when you have an older team -- at least the injuries last longer. As for cursed teams, take a look at last year's Red Sox.

I don't follow baseball so I wouldn't know  ;)

Aren't there like four our five teams as old (or older than) as us?

Pierce, Allen and KG missed less than 15 games combined due to injury this season. The younger guys, save Shaq and JO (who came to Boston as damaged goods) were the ones to sustain injuries and miss time for the most part. Perk missed 40 games, Delonte missed more than 25 and even Rondo missed time.  Pierce's injury is just bad luck.  I saw that Allen came up with a bruised chest tonight.

If these guys had shown the same work ethic and desire in game one, this series would be different.  The C's handed the Lakers game 1 in the Finals last season with a lax performance and left themselves littler room for error.  Perk's injury sealed the deal.
We all think we know more than we really do....

Yeah Miami and LA are older than this team from what I saw on I think ESPN when they showed team average age.

Anyways are you serious? This team cannot catch a break for nothing. First their second run at a championship is ruined because of KG injury then last year due to Perk's injury then they suffer through injuries throughout the whole season and soon as this team starts to get it together Shaq goes back injured and now Captain. Does anyone want Boston to win another championship? This team must be mentally and emotionally drained and done because I can't even handle what they're going through right now.

He will play regardless of how he feels. Just hope he's effective.
