So Jeff Green is brought in to make sure pierce does not play too much.  Have you checked out the minutes in game 2.

And now I read that this series just does not fit Jeff Green, but just wait until the Miami series. I guess we will really see his brilliance then.

Someone said like Nate Robinson last year, Green will have a big playoff game and lead the team to a win. I also hope that Jeff Green is traded as Nate was.

Seems all I have read here ar excuses for why Jeff Gren has not played well. The guy clearly has talent, but he is not worth big dollars. I hope Danny packages him and picks up something of value. I know fans don't know everything and sometimes we know nothing, but I find it interesting that we have heard and read few OKC fans bemoaning the loss of Jeff Green. I wonder why that is.

This series is a great fit for Jeff Green.

This is the most advantageous opportunity Green is going to have in the playoffs.

is there anyone who would NOT reverse the Perk trade?

If we had Perk, we'd be up 3-0 by now.

Most likely.

Philly is a team with players like Green.  Miami is killing them.

Teams with size have killed Miami.

Green needs to step up his game.  He has more talent then he is showing.  If this trade is going to be a positive for the Celtics, Green is going to have to play up to the level he has shown in the past.  He needs to play at that level now.

Otherwise, he is a bust for the Celtics this playoffs.

Doc just doesn't trust the new guys either. So it really isn't all the players's fault....Doc has responsibilities too.

Doc didn't trust our bench in Game 7 of last year's finals either.

If I was a coach and Danny Ainge kept supplying me with incompetent players after a while I wouldn't trust new guys either

Because he's an immensely talented 24 year old with a team friendly impending restricted free agency.

Maybe in terms of talent.  However, it's quite likely that with Wade and LeBron, Ray and/or Paul is going to be in foul trouble many of the games.  Green is going to have to play big minutes then.  And that may end up being the turning point.

I really think this is not a talent issue.  I think it's a matter of him asserting himself and Doc calling plays that he can assert himself.  Most of the plays called when he's in the game involve him standing on the weakside and Baby dribbling into 4 guys.  We need to get him the ball, and let him take some shots, and at the very least take some of the pressure off of everyone else.

But again, aside from bringing in another superstar, any player of his caliber would have trouble adjusting to not only a bench role, but a role where he has to defer to a host of All Stars and Hall of Famers.

Well, I find Lucky's answer very accurate. Of course there's people who would not reverse the trade, we're a very big group in CB, and all opinions must be heard. All posters must be respected.

Jeff Green was brought because Danny thought he's more valuable than Perk in the long run, by trading him or because his playing abilities. There's no secret in that, and we have different opinions. Some people think the trade was wrong, some people think it was right.

Some people think we have enough evidence to come to an answer, and some people, like myself, think we can't answer to that question yet.

If the answer is "the trade was right", we'll be happier, if not we'll face the facts when they happen. By now, we just can throw opinions, so my opinion is the trade didn't hurt our chances this year (hopefully we'll see I'm right ;)) and that the Celtics will be in a better position next year at the deadline and draft.

I still believe Green and Nenad will be useful in the playoffs, but so far they haven't done very good. It's not over yet.

Well, do you think that the team would somehow be better off right now if Perk were here? That's the point I was trying to make.

We're 2-0 now. If Perk were still with the team, we'd probably still be 2-0.

No. They did. That's the thing
