The greatest part about this latest 'Perkins is gone and they've lost their toughness' mind games garbage from Bosh is that it's all being gathered up by Doc and the old boys (and new guys) as motivation.

Insinuating that this team's toughness was owed to one player is dragging KG, PP, Ray, Rondo, BBD and most certainly his replacement Shaq's egos through the mud.
We all know the problems they're going through but lets look at the bright side:
This team plays the Knicks very soon. They'll be tough but ultimately their defense will be their suicide.
so from now...

1)It's almost 3 weeks till we have to play the Heat in the 2nd round.

2)5 weeks till we have to play the Bulls.

3)Its almost 2 months until the NBA finals.

We've been in a slump for a while, whilst showing signs of brilliance because we still have the pieces to win the flag.

If a run is going to come from this team- it is the PERFECT time to start in 2-3 weeks against the Heat.
We don't even have to use Shaq much until the Heat series and we haven't had the big fella at all during this horrid stretch.
That gives him a solid 2 weeks against some mediocre NYK big men.

I just feel sorry for the Knicks because they are going to get BURIED. This horribly defensive team is the perfect opponent for us in the first round.
Rondo will get to the hole at will against Chauncey.
Carmelo will usher Paul Pierce to the ring over and over.
Garnett's length will give Stoudemire so many problems.
Ray coming off picks will get his shooting confidence back with easy shot after easy shot against these bums.

RIP NYK.

If the Celtics play the Knicks they will likely beat them because of the poor defense the Knicks play. However, the Knicks are starting to get it together and have won 7 in a row.

that's true, but it's also against the plankton of the NBA.
Remember their run at the start of the season?

im confident against the knicks becuase they havent played us with shaq in the line up at all & by this time we know were a much diffrent monster with him

it just really ticks me off thet the lakers can lose 5 STRAIGHT!!!! with most of them being playoff teams & they can be "crusing till the playoffs there guna be ok" & the celtics drop a few and were in deep trouble man i csnt wait till the playoffs

dont wake a sleeping giant and these teams saying that our team isnt the same blah blah & well get what for

thats my strong feeling

1st opponent will be the knicks bring em

Let's be careful with the "haters" stuff.  Nothing good comes from labels like that.  It is the same as "Kool-Aid drinkers", and basically paints people with a different point of view do not have a valid opinion, so we don't allow that stuff here.

From the posting rules: "Do not label fellow posters in a way that is likely to provoke a negative response.  Dependent upon context, examples include, but are not limited to, "fake fan", "bandwagon fan", "not a real fan", "hater", "homer", "koolaid drinker", etc. "

That plankton includes the Pacers, who if I recall pretty easily beat the Celtics recently, as well as Orlando and Philly.

because LA didn't make such a major trade.

Because LA is relatively healthy.

Because LA has played very well recently.

I noticed during the Heat game our players didn't play  hard in the 2nd half, the just conceded the game when the score went up..Don't know if they just gave up on their season or just said it's not worth making a comeback in this particular game..let's preserve ourselves...but it's been like that since the bulls game...2 pathetic performances against 2 teams we're going to have to go through if we want to win another championship.
I was so frustrated about  last night's game. I hope they play better in the playoffs or this celtics team is gone for good, look for a firesale this offseason.
