There has been a big change in the Laker line ups recently.  Lamar Odom has been playing with the starters after the first quarter and closing out games while Bynum is playing as part of the Killer B line-up.  Lakers start with Fisher, Kobe, Artest, Gasol and Bynum.  Bring in Blake, Brown, Barnes, Odom, Bynum and finish with Fischer, Kobe, Artest, Odom, Gasol.  Phil stuck with Odom to finish the game despite Utah pressing the Lakers in the 4th quarter resulting in an eventual win.  Bynum had 23 rebounds but did not play in the end of the game even with Hansborogh dunking on people and Utah stealing offensive rebounds.  Is this Jackson's closing line-up?  Or does he just want to play all his B's at the same time for fun.  Is this switch the reason why the Lakers have been successful of late?  I seem to remember that Gasol instead of Bynum played with the bench earlier in the season.

Not sure what Phil is doing over there, but they have their hands full with GSW right now.

And come June, LA will have another Killer B to deal with....

I think part of LA's lineup switching has to do with Phil's desire to keep Gasol and Bynum fresh, I suppose...Gasol hurt his knee a few days ago, and Bynum still has recurring soreness from time to time.

It is interesting to see them look rather slow tonight, though...back-to-backs hurting LA?

Too bad they've had a few less than Boston this year.

Ok I'm watching Gasol play with the Bench and they are being destroyed by Golden State.  The Golden State commentators took a shot at Gasol and Odom by saying no matter how tough your wing players are (Barnes) you need an enforcer in the middle to be tough.

They have the much overrated bench in the league althought they have the 6th man of the year in odom the rest of that bench is wildly inconsistent and pales in comparison to our bench

Either Gasol is hurt, or Phil was sending him a message tonight that he needs to start playing better. Bynum has been a monster on the boards and the Lakers have still lost 3 in a row.  HAHAHAHAHAHA.

The Lakers have realized they can't win the #1 seed so they are settling for the #2.  In doing so, however, they're essentially ceding home court in the Finals should they face the Bulls.  I imagine they're probably thinking that won't happen and expect to face either Miami or Boston.

Phil does this evey year at about the same time ... he's adjusting minutes to rest starters, (at times), but mostly just trying to secure in his head what the playoff rotation will be, and who's willing to put in the extra effort.

Although I'd love the Lakers to loose every game, we are seeing in them much of what we see in the Celtics. Their coach is messing a bit with rotation and minutes distribution, because they are old and they need some extra resting. They've shown they can be a tough opponent, and when it matters they will adjust the minutes and the roles.

That doesn't mean they're a lock out of the west. Dallas and the Spurs can also beat any team, and OKC is not bad either. With everybody healthy, I like our chances more than theirs.

Go Celtics!!!

LOL.

I hope though that B stands for Boston. Not from the Central division.

Golden State makes a lot of people look like monsters on the glass.

I swear the go after offensive boards twice as hard as they do defensive boards. Frustrating team to watch, I feel bad for their fans....
