Interesting notes, looks like the plan has changed for Shaq :

Doc rivers said shaq will play 3 or 4 games, and will likely be shut down for the playoffs.

and

Shaq will not play in all remaining games. Maybe 3-4

I am nervous about tonight...or more importantly tomorrow.  If he can make it through the game tonight, and then still be OK tomorrow morning, I am going to feel a lot better about him going forward.

If i was a betting man, id say today, tuesday, Chicago and Miami(all important games for the C's to win)...for him to get some game rhythm back

then let the big man rest for the playoffs...no need pushing him hard in the rest of the regular season

Sounds about right, although it maybe makes more sense to play him say against Chicago and Miami then rest him and play him the second to last game of the season to get some rythm sooner to the playoffs?

True, lets see how it pans out...Maybe we can see shaq play limited minutes in the rest of the season games...

either way, Shaq really becomes important for the 2nd round of the playoffs when we will most likely face Miami...for the first round, we are facing either NY or Philly. Both teams that arent really strong on the inside and face faster centers(miami isnt strong on the inside, but its important that we utilize that weakness against them. plus have a shaq laying down hard fouls on lebron/wade from driving to the basket)

Wonderful. Played for less than 6 minutes and done. Maybe really done.

I'd say hoping for more than 10-15 minutes a night out of Shaq in the playoffs (and more than 3-4 games out of a series) is overly optimistic.

In other words, unless we can get 20-25 solid minutes out of JO each night, we're more or less screwed.

My stomach was in knots after seeing Shaq limping off.
Celtics' turn on switch for the playoffs: the last bastion of hope for battered Celtic fans.

Shaq needs a variety of Colored Hospital Gowns. And one of those auto wheel chairs. They could weld something together for him.
