Baron Davis has gotten a bit of a reputation. He forced his way out of New Orleans (or was it still Charlotte then?), he ran away from Golden State, he basically quit on his team last year in LA, and couldn't keep his mouth shut this year despite playing like a new man. He has previously refused to play through injuries even when able, he's a bit of a diva, etc..etc...
This all led to him being sent quite uncerimoniously to Cleveland this season at the deadline in a trade that was basically a salary dump for the Cavs.
But if you've been watching/listening to him (when he talks), he's doing something different now. He looked like he's really going hard for this Cavs team. He's playing hurt, even when it is without question a 'lost season' in Cleveland, and when he gets asked about basketball, he just seems really happy and in a good place.
I saw the post-game interview tonight with NBATV (after Cleveland beat Miami) and he looked genuinely happy when talking about his team, and the opportunity to get healthy again, like he was on a playoff team or something that was fighting for the 8 seed.
How do you see this?
