Strange to see Sasha out there at the end. Pierce looked lost on D against Igodala a couple of times. I thought Green was a good matchup against Iggy.

Well Doc tried it on the last play, Iggy blew right past JG and KG wasn't there for the help!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Sasha had some good man defense in the game before that last play.

Ur right, I'm sorry. Anyway, Sasha needed help though. He sent him, KG has to muster the energy on such a pivotal play.

Only saw the highlights for this game... But the only thing I said after the recap was, "Why was Sasha in the game with 30 seconds left?" Sorry, but that makes no sense from my end.

He had been defending well... Iggy was just too determined.

Plus, I don't think it would have mattered. It seemed like we hadn't hit a shot in the last 10 possessions. Even if we had another possession it still might not have been enough.

Sasha was fine for that play. Hard to guard a star like Iggy.

I think Doc just didn't care as much about getting this win and wanted to give his newly acquired "defensive stopper" a chance to do the thing they brought him in for.

Also Iggy should have been called for an offensive foul for clearing out KG's arm with his off hand.

Iggy is a bad matchup for most the league.  He has good size and athletic ability a hard match up.  Those he can, he overpowers, most the guys he can't over power he can jump over or outquick him.  Best way to defend him is to try to stand in front of him as he is not a lockdown shooter but its easier said than done.

I think we "lose" a game or two now to get our bench together.

Sasha had a very good defensive night, particularly when they sent him to guard one of the smaller faster guards in the game. The main problem was on the help defense side.

Problem was that by inserting Sasha you go vastly smaller. I would've kept Pierce on Iggy and kept more big guys in the game.

Doc said after the game" we told Sasha don't let Iggy get to his right hand, whatever you do defensively force him left" , and what does Sasha do? Of course he lets him go to his right hand without even coming close to being able to stay in front or force him to the right.

Doc said PP wasn't guarding him because he had 5 fouls , but I'm with you ,I would much rather have Green guarding Iggy than Sasha.

Sasha is not a defensive stopper. I knew what the result would be the minute I saw the matchup.
