Do you best not to get too up or too down about the conclusion of this regular season.

The NBA regular season is much to long for me. I think 62 is just about right. It's fine for the Heat, or Nuggets or Grizzlies.

But for a aging bunch like the C's this time is just a waste of their joints and ligaments. I wish Kevin, Paul, Ray, and even Rondo could take every game off and come back the last three Regular season games to tune up.

But that's not how we do things.

Spring is right around the corner and that's when Paul and Co. really get ready to play. The New England winter and it's dreariness are lingering as usual and sucking the life from the Vets, just hope for a top 2 seed, and hope Shaq is ready for the playoffs.

And I predict Celtics Vs. Not the Lakers this year.

Spurs, OKC, or Can't believe I'm going here, but The Mavs have the best chance they will have this year Chandler is the PERFECT fit for them. No Lakers Final this year. YES!!!

Celtics obviously care. Big3 playing more minutes this season compared to last season.

I agree that the ligaments are more important than anything else, but homecourt does matter.  the bulls are barely above 500 on the road.  i just wish we could have done it like the old 80's c's or the 90's bulls where the starters destroyed people and the bench was scary too and played loads of minutes.  its not worth it if the starters need to play too many minutes, agreed, but boy wouldn't it be nice to see delonte, baby, green, kristic, and maybe a starter here or there whoop up on teams?

It's like a double edge'd sword. If we put lots of effort in the #1 spot we may pay dearly for it come playoff time especially if we lose one of the 3. If I were Chicago I'd go full bore to push us to play hard and long.

If I were Doc I'd put all my marbles in the playoffs with a fairly fresh team. I think only LA can beat us anyway. Doesn't mean the ECF's will be a given with nearly half a season left to play just in the playoffs if we get that far.

Playing the bench now will help us in the playoffs too.   Both sides have advantages but this team has always been a good road team.

I would like to see this team improve over this time.

This isn't like a team that has been together all season.   There are a lot of new pieces (and guys to get back) that have to build chemistry together.  There is a core ready to go, but the complimentary pieces need to come together.

This team, (and most of it's fans), will never stop caring about winning ... every time they go on the court, they intend to win, and that is something that will never change as long as the Celtics exist. Thank God, they and us do care about these seventeen games. I completely understand what's being said here, but when you stop caring about winning, for any reason, you take the heart from your team, and your fandom. (Plus, I want home-court advantage, or as close as we can get). Yeah, I know I'm corny ... so shoot me. ;)

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

isn't that like an oxymoron?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm with you.  I care about Celtics games, and I think we can get the number 1 seed in the East.

Always like to see them play well, but I really believe it's "Shaq or Bust" for the C's.
Yup

I agree.  Danny has to do whatever it takes to get Shaq and JO healthy before the playoff . Send em on a vacation, do WHATEVER it takes to get their LEGS back under them.

Frankly , I don't believe the core can win it this year or have a decent shot without the two BIG GUYS filling up the lane. Mav's , lakers and Spurs are too Big and/or active inside

You put Dwight Howard in the Big FOur Core mix and have D WEST , Krstic , and Green back up. There could be 2-3 banners hung in a row even with an older KG.
