I have a love and hate relationship with SVG, but he's spot on on the situation with the Heat. So, I love him at the moment:
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_magic/2011/03/miami-heat-deserve-scrutiny-magic-coach-stan-van-gundy-says.html

Quote
“I do chuckle a little bit when they sort of complain about the scrutiny when they get,” Van Gundy said. “My suggestion would be if you don’t want the scrutiny, you don’t hold a championship celebration before you’ve even practiced together. It’s hard to go out yourself and invite that kind of crowd and celebration and attention, and then when things aren’t going well, sort of bemoan the fact that you’re getting that attention. To me, that doesn’t follow.”

How is he spot on? Can anyone point to any quote where the Heat have complained about the level of scrutiny?

“The Miami Heat are exactly what everyone wanted, losing games,” Wade said. “The world is better now because the Heat is losing.”

One was Wade saying the other day something along the lines of "now the world is getting what they wanted, the Heat losing" or something like that. There have been a couple of other crap along of those lines.

The fact that they're constantly having to defend themselves in Post Game losses. Statements like "you can't expect us to win all 82 games" "then can't win 72" "then chemistry has to be worked out"

They show boated the fact that they had put together a super squad, but have yet to beat a legit contender. They beat LA when they 1st started struggling, and they won against the Knicks and Magic prior to their big trades. Big whoop. They have NO bench and LeWade combo can't close out games together.
Can't stop, Rondo!

and the fact that they nicknamed themselves the "Heatles" being the heel team of the league b/c bandwagon fans were just as overhyped as they were, and now they're chucking e-tomatoes all over the internet about them
Can't stop, Rondo!

Please Mr. Riley, fire Spoelstra and hire Jeff Van Gundy... then Stan will stop talking about your team. Spoelstra doesn't believe in the hype anymore, and JVG is part of the bandwagon. No, wait, he's more than that, he is a true believer: http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/08/07/1766361/abcs-van-gundy-heat-will-break.html

I still think Miami could be dangerous in a 7 game series, but they're not a serious team, although they have good and great players. Lebron is a gifted player, as is Wade, but their egos are bigger than their talents. Danny put 3 great talents together, but he was smart enough to pick the perfect complementary players, with KG being the ultimate team player. The Heat will improve next year, and maybe they'll dominate the East when the Big 3 retire. But putting together a team and winning a title is not that easy, Mr. Riley.

If the Celtics have at least one healthy O'Neal, it will be very hard for the Heat to beat our team.

Go Celtics!!

How is that complaining? I know many fans, including me, take delight in watching the Heat fail. He's not saying it's right or wrong.

This has nothing to do with the OP about whether the Heat have complained about the level of scrutiny.

I don't feel like looking for quotes but they are always talking about "the magnifying glass" that they are under and other things along these lines. They wanted all the good attention but none of the bad. The OP and SVG are spot on and everyone is loving it.

You don't think dejectedly saying "the world is better now that we're losing" is complaining?

The OP was a quote from SVG saying that the Heat "sort of complain about the scrutiny they get".

He will have less to say when his bro is coaching the team next year.

Bron + Wade doesn't make any sense.  If I were running the Heat I'd trade Wade for a couple players in the summer.  I'd see if the Nets wanted a legit superstar for the move to Brooklyn and offer them Wade for Deron and Brook Lopez.   Sure the 15 Miami Heat fans would hate me for trading their champion, but you gotta split them up and Bron's a god... gotta hang onto him.

Honestly though the Heat will be fine.  They just need to bring in someone with the MLE in the summer and a couple key role players.

They brought it on themselves.  The Drag King himself, LeBron said they would win multiple titles.   This really makes me appreciate how the big three did it here.   I hope they pile on it on them even more, they can't take the HEAT..... Literally.
