I thought that players had to sign on with teams by 11:59pm, March 1st, in order to be eligible to play in the playoffs.
I expected to see news of where Corey Brewer decided to play first thing this morning, but come in and see absolutely nothing, not even an updated rumor of where he is going...
Then I read somewhere else that as long as they signed by the end of the regular season, they were elegible.
Then someone told me that as long as they had their contracts with their new teams signed and into the league by 11:59pm of March 1st they would be eligible for the playoffs. This guy also said that the decision have been made and the contracts are probably into the league office but nothing has been announced is all. But that doesn't make sense because we always hear a million rumors the minute anything happens and before it officially happens, as with Murphy.
But this guy who told me this last part is a moron so I don't put much credence into what he says.
Can someon please fill me in on what the actual rules / deadlines are for signing with a new team after buyouts and still being eleigible for the playoffs?
Thanks
