Ditto -- a defender of Brewer's ability would be a lot more valuable, depth wise, than a shot-creator like Al Thornton.

Al Thornton would be more an insurance policy for an injury to Jeff Green than someone who can come in and give Boston something different when needed ... which Brewer can do.

Thornton's game has been regressing -- or charitably, has remained stagnant -- since his rookie season.  I don't think we have any need for a one dimensional offensive player who has no outside shot (at least this season).

As others have said Brewer would be a much better pick up. Word is that Brewer has verbally agreed to becoming a Celtic, but we all know how accurate rumors are.
