Ainge alluded to this earlier in the day. The C's seem to go on these scoring droughts and its cost them. This happened last season as well. Big reason the C's lost that Game 7.

Seems like the C's spend so much energy on defense it affects their offensive game. Haven't had much bench help to overcome this either.

I can see where Ainge is coming from in the Perk trade. These younger teams just need to hang around until the legs are tired and take advantage. Defense wins championships but you gotta be able to put some points on the board to close games out.

Well, now I am concerned about the defense and rebounding as well.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

We're a defensive team. That's why we're the winners, so far.
I don't want that to change in any way.

Offense goes into droughts when we don't get production from our bench or when Ray and Paul are off.

KG isn't really an offensive force on a consistent nightly basis anymore.

Rondo can score if he isn't fishing for assists.

Every team loses games.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
- There will be games like this...

- It's Denver...high altitude.  Always an issue for teams to deal with.

- Emotions...  Guys were still processing what happened today when Danny traded away their binky in Perk.

- No depth...  When an NBDL player is one of your first reserves, who doesn't even know where to go on the floor, yeah, you've got problems.  Guys aren't reacting, but orchestrating...

No need to panic...back away from the bridge and realize that reinforcements are on their way.

We're gonna be just fine...

I'm not talking about tonight's game. The fact the C's were even in it with 3 bench players is accomoplishment in itself.

What I'm saying is the C's have the defense covered. It doesn't hurt to get some consistent offensive help so you don't have to win every game in the 80's.

We have led the league in shooting percentage stats for most of the season.

Every team loses. Only 1 team, San Antonio, loses less than us.

I prefer having this problem to having a high-octane offense that seems to score at will but sometimes can't get a defensive stop.

I think Ainge saw how the team played with Shaq in there and decided that the team played defense well enough without Perkins that it could afford to trade some unused defense for some much needed offense.  Now, Krstic, Davis, and Green are three different players who you can pair with KG as bigs at the end of the fourth quarter.
