Knicks are insane to give that up for Melo when they can just sign him in the offseason without giving anything up.

NY can't wait for Melo in FA. Melo is motivated to get a contract done before a lock out, so my bet is Melo is driving a lot of this.

If that's the case, DEN has more leverage than many are noting in this whole situation.

If Melo could just wait and sign with NY as a FA, then why has he been so testy?

Now he's talking about re-signing with DEN??? He just wants his contract. He wants to go to NYK, but my bet is he is more worried about getting his contract in place with uncertainty ahead in the NBA.

Why would Denver want Brewer, Gallinari, Bradley, and Fields?  They already have JR Smith and Aaron Affalo already on the roster.  That just creates a log jam of players, they'd be better off if they just got Gallinari, Fields, a first rounder or 2 and cap filler.

Haha, Wolves trade Brewer + a 1st for Curry and Wafer.  That's great.

Actually an upgrade for them.

Oops, I thought they got a first back. Nevermind.

there going it for the expiring contracts u guys watch espn right?

They already have cap space (which is why they could take on curry's deal) and brewer is an expiring contract himself...why trade a young restricted FA with a first rounder for two expiring deals just so that you can let them expire and end up in the exact same place you were going to be anyway, except minus a valuable first rounder?

Yeah, the Knicks are giving up too much.
