Wafer is good and getting better. Playing time is now the issue. He needs more to see what he can do fully, and with the first team. With guys who rotate and pass better, spread the floor so Wafer can do his slashing and hopefully dunking. His shooting is almost there....just a few tweaks and we could have a really strong guy here who can run, shoot, slash, play D and dunk.....so please doc, play this kid more, in prime time.....at least vs the lower half of the league for now....as we know...you never know who you'll have to turn to in THE PLAYOFFS....!
He's been better than expected but it seems like a bit much to urge Doc to give him crunch time minutes in order for him to be ready for the playoffs. He won't be in the rotation by the time the playoffs roll around barring injury. Do you propose taking him out in crunch time for Pierce, Allen, or Rondo? Any answer to that question besides "none of the above" would be wrong.
It seems your emotions got the better of you before you finished reading the post. The line says, "Play him vs the lower half of the league" As in teams less than %500. He won't be in the rotation unless an injury, well, my sensitive friend, that is exactly why you prepare a second option for the playoffs, if you were a fan last year, you would have seen how we needed help for Perk and Ray, who both were injured by the fakers. "None of the above" hahahhahahaha, come on now, take a breath before you post maybe...?
I think you may be mistaking emotion for disagreement. I did read that last part, and last time I checked teams don't pull their star players in the final minutes of games just because the team they're playing has a below .500 record. Do you recall that ever happening?
Every win counts the same and we could use home court advantage in the playoffs. The reason why Doc's an NBA coach and you're watching on a couch is that he wouldn't think of blowing a valuable win by benching Ray, Paul, or Rondo in favor our 12 man.
i guess i just don't see the benching part anywhere in my post. Do you expect PP and Ray to play every minute of every game from here on out..? Who would be their replacement, should we need one? Foul trouble, same thing. Last year , Ray was hit by Artest, we had no #2 go to guy. Well, we did have TA back then, as a good D guy. It seems you swooped down on my post, and got the wrong message. Plenty of time to play Wafer, we'll be playing NJ, The Wizards, Cleve, and many others like that. Wafer has skills and potential. Always good to develop your options, should you ever need them.
Could play Ray and Wafer at the same time, so many combinations now......
