I don't think this is a continuation of his injury at the end of last season, so I think he reported to camp in reasonable health.
After Danny openly discussed Jermaines "effort" and implied there was a lack of it are you now willing to maybe change this above thought? Or to you did he still show up to camp in great shape and uninjured? Just wondering..
I am not inclined to change my mind. I still tend to believe he was uninjured coming into camp and I think he was in reasonable (not great shape) where he wasn't necessarily in game shape, but he would have gotten there by the end of preseason if he hadn't been injured.
He missed the preseason though. He complained of his back, his hamstring, his ankle, then finally his knee. How is that coming into the season healthy? Your supposed to take care of lingering issues like that during the summer. If you noticed he hasn't been bringing those other issues up anymore it's now just the knee. But I think he used those other issues as excuses so he wouldn't have to play in the preseason and could work his way back into game shape instead.
As for me assuming he's eating ho hos in his off time your right that is unfair. I'm clearly not the mans dietician or personal chef (as he's said to have one) but we must be looking at different jermaines. The one I've seen in every game as a Celtic has about four turkey gizzards warblers double chins whatever you wanna call it. His face looks bloated and pudgy. There's less definition on his arms. To me he looks far from in shape. But once again I guess that's speculation and we just see it different ways.
As for the example aspect yes we do have a lot of vets on this team. But last I checked we also have three rookies including two big guys and one substantially high pick (for our standards in years). I tend to think 19 year olds coming out of college tend to be pretty impressionable. Just my thought though. It would be great if they took after Ray KG Rondo and Pierce but when you have the odd man out just doing his own thing on his own time that can be distracting. It's kinda like why don't the same rules apply to him?
