I'm a celts fan, grew up in Everett, MA moved to Southern California in 2001. I live about 35-40 minutes away from the Staples Center and have been contemplating going to a Clippers home game all season. The tickets cost as little as $3 when they are playing teams with losing records. I figured i'd take advantage of such a matchup and get some really good seats for like $80. I have checked on stubhub etc and for 80-100 dollars you can get into a seat that will pretty much guarantee that you're on TV quite a bit. I dont care about getting on TV that just means that you're in a great spot to see the game, which is what I want.

I would love to go to the upcoming clippers/celtics game but the good seats are way too expensive.

What would you guys do? I have been dying to go to an NBA game but the odds of me getting tickets to a celtics game are pretty slim because I have 2 kids that I want to bring as well and will never have 700 dollars to spend on regular season basketball tickets. I figure they are western conference anyways, so its not like i'm turning my back on my team, and i've been out here for almost 10 years, I figure as long as its not the lakers it shouldn't matter if i'm cheering for a team in the west with a losing record, right? :P

Has anyone been to a clippers home game this year? Seems like it would be an extremely exciting atmosphere with Griffin droppin bombs all night.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

I would go only to see Blake
But DeAndre is having a nice moment, and Eric Gordon can go shoot le light off nights every other day
So yup theyre pretty nice to watch.
I probably choose a game against a nondefensive team, like Cleveland this days...lol
to see them rocking

Go to the game - Clips are an exciting team although not a very good one.  See if you can find a night where they play another mediocre but fun team, like Golden State or Memphis.  Tix should be cheap and the game should be competitive.

Definitely go to any game that you can. Especially if you can get tix for 3 dollars. Who cares where you sit, the atmosphere of an NBA game is great. When I go to Celtics games i actually sometimes prefer sitting in the balcony because I can see everything going on all at the same time.

I bet you could find some reasonable tickets when the celtics come to town. I guess it is LA however and the prices might go sky high for a quality team like that. When I as in Charolette the Celtics were in town and I got lower level seats for like 45 bucks, granted there were more celts fans there than bobcats fans and the stadium was still only 75% full for the Celtics...

I went to game last year (I live in San Diego)it was my sons first game. Unfortunately we lost in the last second of the game.
I paid about 40 $ for upper deck sits.
The good thing is, clippers don’t have lots of fans, so i would say close to 50% of the fans will be Celtics fans.

I would rather go to a Clippers game than most good teams games.  Griffin and Jordan are dunk masters and a ton of fun to watch and Baron has been making some big plays and looking a lot better (how about that dunk against Miami?  That's the Boomdizzle I knew).  Also Eric Gordon is a great young player and Bledsoe has looked very good too at times.

They are an entertaining team for sure.  I'd love to go to a game.

Now that the Clipps have beaten the Heat it might be worth checking out their game on the 16th aganist the Lakers. If i was living in LA i would probably go to that one, just to root aganist the Lakers.I have a gut feeling the Clipps might win this one.

Clipper fan/Celtics fan/Celticsblog's villain Bill Simmons wrote an article that might be of some help a few months ago.  It ranked the teams that he wanted to see.

I think I would go with any in that "young guns" category.  I would love to see John Wall play, and also Brandon Jennings.  I would also throw the Warriors in this list to see Stephen Curry.

Also, watching Steve Nash play is a must.  Tickets to the Suns should be reasonably cheap.

I was just looking at the tickets for the celtics game in LA feb 26 vs the clippers. They are actually really reasonable. You can get a seat right behind the celtics bench for like 280. And a good upper deck seat for like 60-80. There were also 3 baseline tickets right near the celts bench available... hmm, it is tax season... maybe i'll spring for the good seats lol

ABSOLUTELY.

I'd love to see them play, especially for Blake. But also Gordon, Bledsoe, and Jordan. Heck, seeing Gomes again would be nice.

Seriously, they are a fun team to watch.

For as little as their tickets can go for, you should definitely go.

When are they playing IN Boston? Maybe I'll make a trip up there to see them...
