Some games seems obviously one-sided and that's what makes it so hard to ignore. When you say that all teams feel the refs are out to get them, I think that is true. But that's not an argument for the point being made here that these guys are human and have politics and faults.

I see the problem as being correctable if refs are held to a much higher standard and accountability, like any other job.
If there is a no call or a blatant foul, and if the coaches request it, they should have to review it. It doesn't take long to watch reviews.
If a ref consistently makes poor calls, he should be demoted. Keep the calls correct and legal, as best as possible and most of all, consistent, and that will hold them to a higher standard.

Why are they allowed to get away with such horrible officiating?

My real issue about the officiating is how it seems to affect the players' mentalities.  I though this was a much bigger problem last year (which is a good sign for the Celts), but you can see it especially when it comes to getting to the hoop.  The Celts are by nature an aggressive, well-balance team on the attack (the old inside-outside game).  But you can see (not as much this year as I've noted), that when the calls aren't being made when PP or Rondo are trying to penetrate, we bog down, use way too much of the shot clock, and end up with less than desirable jump shots.   That's what really drives me crazy; I could do without a slew of free throw (though like lat night showed, some more of those are warranted); I just don't like to see us become less aggressive.  Can you imagine what it would have done to D Rose's game if he had even a third of those called fouls he received go as non-calls.  Not sure we would have won, but the game would have been a whole lot more competitive to the end.

In the 4th Q, the C's benefitted from a ridiculous "clear path" call, and in the third, perhaps the worst block called a charge I've ever seen drawn by Davis...

It's true that one-sided, outcome-changing officiating stinks, every time you see it, no matter which team is negatively affected.

I'd love to see a league that cares enough about fairness and product quality to take steps to improve the situation.

Sad that it will never happen in Stern's NBA.

Throw in Rondo's self pass in the 4th that wasn't called, which he turned into a layup.  Semih got away with almost taking off his countryman's arm on one play and didn't get whistled.

I can't think of any trips to the line by D. Rose that made me get out of my chair and yell, "come on, let 'em play, ref!!"

The guy was taking it to the rim and drawing contact all night long.  You can't say the same for the Cs.

The only play that stands out to me that was miss-called in the Bulls favor was one where Rondo knocked the ball off Rose's knee and Chicago got the ball back.

Overall, I would say that was a fairly officiated game where the team that deserved to win won.
