Thanks. TP.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

It is totally scary that Doc thinks Rondo has so much improvement that he can still make!

He does!  Jumpshots and free throw shooting.  You know that!  Once he gets that down, he'll be the best point guard in the league.

You're right but really it's obvious.  The only way to defend Rondo, like we saw last night, is to give him space and go under screens and dare him to shoot.  And the thing is he doesn't need the three point shot, just the elbow jumper will get him where he needs to be.

We saw it last night and I think that's just the beginning.  More confidence is all he needs because I think he can hit that shot now.

I wasn't arguing, I agree, in fact...it is also scary to think of Rondo with MORE confidence than he already has,  ;D

I only heard part of the interview, but some tidbits:

*talked about how in the Wolves game, the team didn't guard Rondo at all, and that once he gets his shot to a point where the opposition has to contest, no one will be able to guard him

*said JO is doing exactly what they want him to do defensively, and that he doesn't care about the offense, which he thinks will eventually come

*says he not "hard on" Big Baby, but demanding, because he knows how much he can help the team

*in reference to the Memphis gambling/fight, he said the biggest arguments among players isn't with gambling, but with sports debates, i.e. top 5 NBA centers all-time, Boston sports Mt. Rushmore, etc.

Would love to see him make, with regularity, those tear drops/runners in the paint.
