Has anyone noticed that ESPN's Box scores on Paul Pierce for the last 3 games don't tally?

They all look fine to me...what do you mean by tally?

Thank you for your reply.

The way I understand the Box Score of ESPN on the last game against the Spurs for example:

        7 Field Goals Made @ 2 points each = 14
Plus    2 3 Points Made    @ 3 points each =  6
Plus    2 Free Throws Made @ 1 point each  =  2

The total should be                        = 22

But the Box Score only shows               = 18 ???

Sorry if this is a dumb point to make, I'm not a big Basketball Fan but I am a huge Celtics Fan since I went to Boston College in the 80's.

the 7 field goals include the 2-3 pointers.
so : 5*2+2*3+2*1=18

"3-pointers" is included in "field goals made"
meaning Pierce made 5 "2-pointers" and 2 "3-pointers" last night
therefore 2 "3-pointers" made should be additional 2 points

14 + 2 + 2 = 18
or
10 + 6 + 2 = 18

the 3 pointers are included on the field goals.

he had two three pointers, and 5 two point field goals.  10 points for the 2 pointers, 6 points for the 2 threes, and two points for his two free throws.  18 points.

welcome to the forums.  have a tommy point!

Everyone else beat me to the answer, but welcome to cb and here is a tp to bring in the new year.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
