Great game by two teams playing hard.

What a joy to watch - the Celtics' style is just great to experience for the true fans of the sport (as compared to the fans of individual athleticism above team accomplishment).

Great game, great win, great season!

Thanks for starting this thread.  I often find myself thinking about how lucky we are to be watching this team play.  It is so much fun.

TP for appreciation for your thread, Vinnie, and to our wonderful team. I was watching the bench out there last night and thinking how awesome it would be to watch our starters play our bench in a fun game.
It occurs to me that some teams out there are wishing they had the caliber of our bench for their starting team.
Our bench team could be a separate nba team; they are so good.
We are so talented and are going to win it all this year!!!

Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

This might be lame, but I just want to say how much I appreciate the effort of this team to accomplish what it has despite the incredible number of injuries. Second best record in the NBA. Wow

I appreciate JO effort and proffesionalism tonight
JO showed why boxscores don't tell you how a player contributed. JO played great defense tonight.

JO looks like a better version of what PJ Brown was for us in 2008. Hopefully he can pick it up on offense. In truth though, he has never had a good shooting % except for last season.

Wow...what a fantastic comparison. I never really thought about it that way but you are right. TP!

If you type 3 question marks in a row it autmatically puts that frowny confused emoticon up.

Ill give it a try.

  • Our heart will prevail.
Definitely not lame, the effort put forth by the team tonight was exceptional. I would not even hesitate to say that this is a game we would have lost if it was played last season...it's been very special to watch this team this year.

The game would have been over midway through the 3rd if this was last year this time.

This team is fun to watch. Sorry for some if they aren't blowing teams out or number one on Hollinger's gospel, but they are doing what is needed to win.

They are starting to remind me of the 2008 squad, in that they want every game - BAD.

I agree.  I loved the 08 team and I might like this team more, especially considering they are grinding things out with injuries.  KG might be our MVP and we just won that game last night without him.

Great, great stuff and it was beautiful to see all our guys stepping up when they needed to, whether it be Jermaine giving defensive effort as the only real post out there at times, Big Baby taking a charge and hitting jumpers when they were daring him to, Ray working the screens and Pierce willing to be the decoy, and Rajon just all over on offense and defense and even knocking down his jumpers in the 4th.  I really love this team.  So much fun to watch guys who play with so much heart and will do whatever they need to do to win.

Absolutely why this team gets every feeling i can dedicate to being a fan. Its a real TEAM ... they all step-up together, and share the ball,coach/help/assist each other and most of all --- give their hearts to the game almost every single night.

I cant appreicate a team like the lakers/heat where each of their "stars" have to have a 30+ game to "win"( AKA outscore ). We do it together, on BOTH sides of the court.

It's not lame at all.  Heck the other day I actually forgot the C's have been playing without Perkins the whole year.

Ok ????

NO ONE'S going to be the Celtics in a 7 game series!

And ignore those confused faces up there. There is no confusion. We're going to tear up LAL and REFS.

Not lame at all.  This team has shown a lot of heart so far this season.  Consider the Spurs have the top record with ZERO games missed by their starters.  The Celtics are right on their heels with 1,or 2  of their starters out for just about every game and that isn't even counting the games missed by Perk.  And also not counting the fact that our 2nd string PG has been out for all but 5 games. And not counting the fact that in several of those games they have been playing 5 on 8.   This team is nothing short of amazing.  I've watched the Celtics for a long, long time and I also appreciate the attitude, work ethic and heart of this team.

The Celtics are so deep this season, even when unhealthy. That really is just amazing.
The team chemistry is working too, and having Von Wafer step up and Gody and Bradley also has been a big boost for everyone's team morale.
