Larry Sanders:

34 min.  14 points on 50% shooting.  4 for 5 from the line.  10 rebounds (4 offensive).  8 blocks.

Yes, 8.

I came to love this guy's demeanor as the draft was approaching.  Nice to see him doing good things on the floor.  Just wish it was in a different shade of green  :P

Yeah, he and Whiteside were my choices in the draft. Of course, I really like McGee in Washington and DeAndre Jordan in LA too. But alas, I have an addiction for "project" bigs with uber athleticism. Whew! Glad I finally admitted that I have a problem. Keeping it a secret has been eating me alive on the inside. Good talk everyone.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Larry Sanders has been fairly poor most of the season.

This looks to be one of his rare quality performances ... maybe it'll spark him into form but I doubt it ... he seems too raw to be a reliable contributor this season. Too many mistakes offensively. Not enough consistent effort on the backboards. And still learning to play NBA level defense (although he's made good improvements here since the start of training camp).

He looks to be at least a year away from being a quality rotation player. Interesting long term prospect though.

I would have liked him on the C's too.

He didn't play much to start the season though.  I haven't counted his appearences.  Just a rook at the beginning of his rookie year....stats like those from last night are welcome despite being perched early on the learning curve...

Jon, you probably owe me something for the catharsis 8)
