Idea 1. Trade Bosh to Lakers for Bynum. If I'm the Lakers, I say no way. Bosh' trade value has declined way too much. LA must realize that Bynum is the key for them to be able to repeat against Boston. They would lack the physicality without Bynum.
Idea 2. Bosh to Dallas for Haywood or Chandler. This is more realistic, money aside. Dallas can afford to give up one of these guys. And yes, I think Bosh' trade value has plummeted that much already!!
Idea 3. James to Denver for Carmelo (in sign and trade) and Lawson. Carmelo's game complements Wade's better than James' game does. Plus Law could be starting PG. Chemistry should improve a lot in Miami. Wade for Melo makes no sense because James and Melo together makes no sense.
Idea 4. (Assumes James will not be traded under any circumstances). Wade to New Orleans for Chris Paul. This only works if Paul renews his trade demands. Frankly, the exit of Collison would make this tougher for NO to consider. But if they agreed, I think the chemistry in Miami would be vastly improved. Paul would unquestionably be in charge of the team, and LBJ would have to work off the ball more.
I think Miami's chemistry, though still early, is not working. Of course, Miami will first fire Coach Eric and replace him with Riley, probably before the Laker game on Christmas. The chemistry will not get any better, and a suspect that a major trade will go into the works along the lines outlined above before the trade deadline.
Key question: Do any of the (not so) Big 3 in Miami have no trade clauses? In all the hype last summer, I don't recall this ever being reporting. If not, the ideas above becoming more realistic.
I was pretty confident before the season started that Bosh would not be able to cut it, but Miami's problem runs much deeper: Wade + Lebron is far greater than WadeLebron.
