Just like last year...and the year before...KG, PP, Ray A....they should def skip the allstar game...get the rest for that bs week, and save the body for the playoffs.....a few trips to the allstar game is fine....but after that, it is a waste...Rondo too..it is a dumb showboat game..better to save up for the playoff run....what is more important..? Who remembers whst you did in the allstar game vs the playoffs.....when you get older, you have to save the body....I know officially you can't dodge the game..but you can be injured reserve for a few days b4.....!!!

Wouldn't it be pretty funny if LeBron and Wade don't get voted in.

I mean outside of Miami, what NBA fan is actually rooting for them? I still think they will both likely start, but I don't believe Bosh will and he doesn't even merit a coaches selection the way he is playing right now.

KG, RR, and PP should all get it. If Ray gets hot he may. Would be nice if Shaq got healthy and could make a run at backup C.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 4 C's go.

  • Rondo = Good
We could have the situation of starting five Hall of Famers -- but no one starting in the all-star game.

Rondo is earning a starting spot, but Wall could easily take it and be deserving as well.  He is putting up 19 and 10 with a handful of steals each game.  All from a 20 year old rookie.

Derick Rose will be lucky to make it as the 3rd point guard.

As for KG, let him rest.  Amare will enjoy the spotlight.

Wall won't be on the ballot, and the coaches won't vote him in - both because he's a rookie.  He'll start for the Rookies, though.

D-Rose will probably get voted in as the starting PG.  The coaches will vote in Rondo.

I think Amare may very well get voted in as the starting PF; the NY market is huge and the fans are rabid.

Rose
Wade
James
Stoudemire
Howard

^ There are your All-Star starters, probably.  However, Rondo, Pierce, and Garnett all have a pretty good shot of getting voted in by the coaches.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

It's amazing to me how big of a market is and they still can't put a decent team together in NY

Pierce was the winner of 3 point shoot-out contest last year.
So unless he's injured, I think he will be there to defend his title.

Aftert kg got injured that year, after the allstar game, i don't see what the point is risking your stars so close to the playoffs for a meaningless game. When they could rest for the playoff run....Shaq, kg, pp, and ray...are you kidding, are you losing sight of the prize, for one day in the sun..???

At that point in the season, any injury to anyone who could make the allstar team is not worth it. We have ALREADY seen that our guys could use the rest at that point in the year....anyone remember last year...hello..!

KG wasn't injured in the all-star game, and its not exactly a strenous game.

I don't see the issue with having a lot of C's go, it is a good thing.

You'd think i knew he wasn't injured in that game.....okay, he was injured, what, right after that...we all know he needed the rest, a nice week off before the playoffs.....how many chances do they get for that? Playing hoop is extremely hard on the body, especially as you age, so rest is needed. Injuries happen as you wear out, of course they push on, look at PP last year, he wouldn't stop until doc made him..he was hurting, but pre game adrenaline drives you on..how many allstar games does one need.....look at our injuries ALREADY this year...and some want SHAQ out there..he is already hurting..bball pushes you to your limits every GAME..to most players, there is no 1/2 speed...you say you will, then you get the ball, someone gets in your face, puts their hands on you..ha...boom, 100% power on them.....
