so just got off the phone with my cable company ive been with for years and raised hell, so p---ed off looks like im going to switch providers. i ordered nbalp through comcast (not in the new england area) and in hopes that i would get the channel NBAHD which is NBATV in HD and these suckers tried to tell me id have to pay an extra 7.99 on top of the LP just for the channel. it is freaking ridiculous, shouldnt the League Pass come with NBA tv in HD?

anyway the reason i made this post is i was hoping maybe ya guys can provide some help in which provider is better? if purchasing NBALP through either of these providers does nba tv or certain games come out in actual HD? or are they all SD with black bars on side

also as far as contracts go i think both providers require 24months with a nice deal the first year but on the final year do the prices shoot up insanely high? blah what a way to kick off the nba season  >:(

I get cable League Pass through my provider, Brighthouse.  Last year some of the games were in HD, some not.  I had to order NBAtv through a separate sports package...and I do get that in HD (you have to have the HD box to get the HD reception).  The HD Box is the same price as the regular cable box, however.  I have not been able to order League Pass yet this year, it is on the free trial status now, and they told me to call back in November, when they will offer League Pass.  I better get the price break, or I will be mad, but I have never had any trouble with Brighthouse before, and they are great at talking me through any cable tv/computer problems to solutions.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.

I've never used Dish but have had DirecTV since 2005 and LOVE it!   They have the pre and post game shows from CSN.  They also give you the choice of Home or away feed so you can get the Celtics announcers every time.

I have to say they have the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.    I called last night because my receiver was malfunctioning.  They said they would get another one right out to me but it might not get here until Wednesday or Thursday.  Well, it got here today!  I called around 1:30 pm and it was here before noon today.  I called and they walked me through the set up on the phone.

Direct TV also carried every preseason game.  They also give you the option of making payments on the subscription instead of having to pay it all at once.    Like I said, I never had Dish but I highly recommend DirecTV.  If you call with a problem, they do their best to correct it immediately. In my 5 1/2 years with DTV I've been very satisfied.

(I also have comcast cable but they don't offer pre or post game with their LP and they don't broadcast the preseason)
