second-time around is so much sweeter...

EDIT: I edited your post because I thought it could do with a better description, and people would really dig it. TP for the awesome link.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I loved the piece, thought it sounded sincere, and a lot of times besides the "Player X" thing ESPN does (which if you haven't read them, do it now. Nascar, football, basketball, it doesn't matter what sport, its insightful. Here is a link), it sounds like whatever is put out there was run through a PR Filter.

But this part kind of weirded me out:

I don't know if I'm prepared to answer this. You want to know who is Delonte West? I'm not going with what Nate Robinson would like me to say. He says I'm the Joker from the Batman movie. I'm not going to allow Nate to label me.

Now I bet Delonte was going for an easy example of the lockerroom camaraderie and a good natured dig at Nate. But, to me it reads like one of those party jokes that goes off like a lead balloon.

Great Read! Great to see Delonte open up like this, and of course great to see him back in Green!

And he's a Redskins Fan - Sweet! That's right we beat Dallas! And they haven't been the same since  ;D.

Continue to keep your head up, Delonte - the best is yet to come, my man!

And don't worry about missing MIA the first time - I have a feeling we will be playing them many times between now and June 2011. You'll get your opportunity!
