  • Another undersized Celtic...
I feel a bit in the dark here, but didn't the C's work out Rashad McCants & Trenton Hassell, among others? I heard that Cat and Morrison didn't stick, but what about the other two? I was really intrigued by McCants, and even a bit interested in Hassell--are they in camp with us or what?

Yeah they worked out for the Celtics but I don't think any of those people you mentioned got camp invites. I copied this from the article on the front page:
Quote
20 players are attending camp this year: Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, O'Neal (x2), Davis, Delonte West, Von Wafer, Luke Harangody, Avery Bradley, Perkins, Marquis Daniels, Semih Erden, and Nate Robinson, along with Tony Gaffney and newcomers Stephane Lasme, Jamar Smith, Mario West, and Chris Johnson. Bradley and Perkins did not participate in today's session due to injury, while Johnson sat out as well, but is expected to participate as early as tomorrow.

hope this helps

I must have missed it, but I didn't realize they cut Oliver Lafayette loose last week.  I'd imagine they wanted to give him a chance to go somewhere where he had a legit shot at making the roster.  He would have been at best the 4th point guard in all likelihood.

So it's West, Wafer, Gaffney and Stephane Lasme, Jamar Smith, Mario West, and Chris Johnson, 7 guys playing for 2 remaining roster spots at this point.

West would really have to implode to not make the roster.

In interviews, Wyc refers to Delonte as one of the big pickups (along with Shaq and JO). The team expects West to be a contributor.

Fair point.  I only included West because his contract isn't guaranteed.  I assume he'd make the team along with Harangody, so I guess it's really 1 open spot.  Could even be no spots, since Danny usually keeps that 15th spot open for a midseason pickup.
