With the Melo drama right now, different teams are offering young talent to get him(which we don't have outside of Rondo and injured Perk) but I would like us to be one of those teams that helps absorb a salary that fits our needs, while assisting  Denver and it's main trade partner(NJ or Chicago) as a draft pick source and salary equalizer

Boston - Beasley
Minny - JRSmith,BBD, Gaffney
NJ - Melo,Telfair,Lafayette,Bradley
Denver - Troy Murphy,Devin Harris

IMO, it works well for all teams involved. We get our SF that can defend and produce offense while still being young and able to slide into PF minutes for small ball lineups.
Minnesota gets an offensive weapon JR and backup PF for Love in BBD. Gaffney and Lafayette were added to clear roster spots for us.
Jersey gets Melo and 2 PGs to play with since Harris is the only legit PG from that team
Denver gets the most value possible with Melo, Great Billups replacement/backup and nice young PF.

Draft picks can be added either which way to entice other teams, but I would hope Danny would try and get us involved in a trade scenario LIKE this where we could like a Beasley,Brewer or etc.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Dont think Danny would do it.

Plus, I dont want Beas Wade called him out so many times and he never responded.

With a team like we have now...he would be hazed worse then Kwame Brown was by Jordan in Was.

I dont think he has the mental makeup to be a Celtic.  At least not on THIS Celtic team.

I like it, but doubt Minnesota will do it, highly doubt Denver would do it, and Troy Murphy isn't leaving New Jersey (his long awaited hometown)

Devin Harris and Troy Murphy is extremely poor value for Carmelo Anthony. Especially if they keep Billups in the trade!

Plus why in the heck would Melo resign with NJ? Why are so many teams dragged in unecessarily?

My original idea of this thread was to get other ideas similar to my posted trade idea. That one was kinda out there and unnecessarily complicated. So here's another

BOS - James Johnson
DEN - Luol Deng,Taj Gibson,Noah,Gaffney
CHI - Melo,BBD, and Lafayette

Gaf and Laf aren't needed, but they're off our roster. We exchange BBD for James Johnson who looks like a nice backup SF,LEGIT SF.
Denver gets a ton of talent, and Chicago might want to keep Gibson. Still, good trade for them as Chicago gets their real Allstar Melo and added BBD to make up for rebounding loss.

Another idea would be to include either Erdin,Bradley or Gody so we open up another roster spot for play throughout the year
Can't stop, Rondo!

Highly unlikely C's trade Baby given the injury history of front-court and their age. Unless of course its a no brainer trade. I don't consider James Johnson or a no brainer.

If you believe Glen, this will be his breakout year. Quite frankly, I believe him. Rondo made the leap in his latter part of his 3rd year entering his 4th year. This upcoming season will be Glen's 4th year with the Celtics. Its do or die for Glen.

No.  There's no way we can get in on it.  Why do people assume we can just jump into other teams' trades.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
