He is one of the few remaining FA options that can play lockdown just as good as TA, he can also play some backup minutes at the 1, he is a slightly better shooter then TA, although his offense is still lacking, he would be brought in for his D and ability to play and defend the 1,2, and 3.

I liked DJ when he first came into the league, but honestly haven't seen him play in like two years. Has he been in the NBA recently?

He was set to be the backup pg for the Suns a few years ago(before dragic emerged), until he completely self destructed in a summer league game in front of Steve Kerr. I think he called a timeout when there was no time out, made a couple of costly turnovers all within the last few minutes and they ended up losing the game. He was released a few weeks later and he ended up playing in Europe somewhere, and most recently he was playing in the D league.

DJ Strawberry is a defensive stud. He is a top 10 man to man defender in the league, and he has improved his mid range shot and 3 point shot substantially. I think his shooting is much better then Tony Allen's and he can contribute more then him overall. I really want to see DJ strawberry with the Celtics.

He is on the Lakers summer league team ... I think he'd be a great signing for them. A nice big defensive point guard in that Triangle offense (help hide his lack of offensive PG skills). He could be a hugely valuable role player for LA.

I don't think they are interested in him though. He didn't seem to be that involved in the only Lakers SL game I saw.

folks, try to keep your thread titles a little more clear

"DJ Strawberry to the C's?" sounds like a rumor - but this is not a rumor, just an idea

thanks

Top 10 defenders don't play in the d-league. Sorry. He would have mean the best defender in all of the d-league and would be in the league.
