the number of quality free agents we could target in a few years is dropping rapidly. Ainge's decision to give Pierce 4 years is looking better and better.

while i don't mind the pierce signing, i don't like the length of the contract.  i hope we find that the 4th year is a team option year.

It's never smart to not prepare today in the anticipation of something unknown. Either the Knicks or Nets or maybe both will prove that tomorrow night.

Pierce is the here and the now. Would you rather pierce walk because he was steadfast on 4 years?

Well, there goes the idea of rebuilding under the cap?

It would have been lovely if Durant left Oklahoma high and dry like they franchise did to the city of Seattle.

Those OKC fans are great. Hardly their fault what happened in Seattle.

Glad to see Durant stay with that team.

You just gotta love a guy like KD. Amidst all this free agent frenzy, here he is quietly agreeing to a 5 year extension with his current team. After seeing the ridiculous amount of money owners are willing to pay during free agency(ATL and JJ for example)one would think that KD would be eager to test the free agent market himself, knowing that he is one of the league's most coveted players. But no, he rewards the team that drafted him with an extension. And the way he did it - no flash, no hype, just like the way he plays - just speaks volumes about what kind of a person he is.
