I'd rather see Varajao go than Hickson. Hickson sat most of the series against us, because he was ineffective. Varajao is a great energy guy. Good riddance to him!

with Verajao and Turkoglu both in Toronto, they can make a run at the title of all-ugly team.

If the package for Bosh is Varejao, Hickson, West and Parker, well then, call me crazy but I am seriously unimpressed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Center: Bosh
Power forward: Antawn Jamison
Small forward: LeBron James
Shooting guard: Jamario Moon
Point guard: Mo Williams

Bench: Big Z(assumes he resigns), Daniel Gibson, Jawad Williams, Leon Powe, Sebastian Telefair and ????????????????

Sorry, but to me that is a team that once again wins a lot of regular season games, that is the darling of TNT, ESPN and ABC and the NBA front offices and who once again will not even make the Eastern Conference Finals due to a lack of toughness and heart.

If Cleveland wants to do this and Bosh does to, I'm all for it. That teams is extremely beatable in a seven game series.

If I'm a Cavs fan, I wouldn't be happy that we allegedly turned down a trade that could have gotten us Amare because we would have gotten Hickson if at the end of the day we were going to trade him anyways simply to get Bosh JUST so we could keep Lebron around.

If I'm also a Cavs fan, I have nightmares about the frontcourt defensively. Forget old man KG burning Jamison,  do I really trust Jamison against Pau Gasol? Assuming Bynum's healthy, does Bosh really stand a chance against him? I mean, Shaq's old, but at least he was big. About how Dwight Howard against Bosh? Oh dear...

I'm not even sure this team wins a lot of regular season games, but they definitely are looking at a 2nd round exit.

Agreed.

However, I sincerely doubt that would be the roster when it's all said and done. It's been said that Shaq would consider returning if LeBron did; adding Bosh would be further incentive.

It's also been reported that Mike Miller would sign with Cleveland if LeBron returned.

PG: Mo Williams
SG: Mike Miller
SF: LeBron James
PF: Chris Bosh
C:  Shaquille O'Neal

They'd need to trade Jamison for some additional depth alongside Gibson, Powe, Parker, and Moon, which is easier said than done.

just bring Sheed out of retirement .. Sheed eats Bosh for breakfast.
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

With or without moving Jamison, I think that's a championship-caliber team.  I thinking putting Bosh beside Lebron would have the same effect as putting Pau next to Kobe.

I know as Celtics fans that we need to have faith, but I think Lebron/Bosh would be a lethal combo.

I'd shocked if Bosh goes to Cleveland. Doesn't he and Wade have the same agent? Turn down Miami to go to Cleveland.......

Yeah, I assumed that Wade and Bosh were BFFs, and would end up in Miami.

Toronto is married to the idea of Jarrett Jack being their PG going forward. Its Calderon they want to dump and there is no way the package you described gets Calderon to Cleveland
Jamison, Varejao, Hickson, Parker, West, Moon and some draft picks (maybe next years first and a future second or two)

for

Bosh, Hedo, and Calderon

Allows Toronto to get rid of both of their bad contracts, gives them a starting SG (West), a starting PF (Jamison), a young future PF (Hickson), a banger/energy guy (Varejao), and some expiring bench contracts in addition to some draft picks.  Obviously Williams could be swapped out for Jamison if Toronto would prefer.  Jamison just has this year and next year and aside from him Varejao is the only guy not expiring.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I think it'd be tough for Byron Scott to win a trophy his first year as coach there. Chemistry and installing a system goes a long way, throwing talent at it and trying to win on paper doesn't always work--just ask the Mavericks or even Karl Malone and Gary Payton when they signed with the Lakers.

I can't imagine any team who would be willing to take on Turkoglu, especially the Cavs who already have a pretty ball dominant forward of their own in Lebron James.
