Chicago, Miami, and NY have reloaded their teams. All three seem to be perfect fits for Ray Allen's services. Regardless of his performance in the past finals, teams are looking at him for veteran leadership and shooting. With all these free agent signings falling into place, who knows what Ray has in mind. Miami and Chicago seem to be the best options for him. If Lebron teams up with Amare in NY, that would be a good scenario for Allen as well. Who among these teams could offer to pay Ray more than us? Would Ray be open to taking a smaller amount just to stay in Boston? The next few days would be both exciting and nerve-wracking for us Boston fans. Please stay Ray!

Chicago

Rose
Ray
Deng
Boozer
Noah

Bulls would be his best fit. They need a shooters in the worst. Tim Thibodeau would welcome with open arms.

The regular season and possibly playoff games against Chicago would be epic if they are able to persuade Ray to sign with them.

Boston. Then sign both O'neals, T-Mac, and A.I. We can be the Boston Geriatrics.

Well, I'm not so sure the dominoes have fallen.

If LeBron goes to Chicago, they'll be at about 49 million, limiting themselves to only 7 million dollars to offer Ray.

If LeBron goes to NY, it's the same deal.  Only 6 million left for Ray.

Assuming Miami doesn't get LeBron, they'd have room.  But are they going to want to pay Ray that or make a run at another younger star they can build around?  The latter seems to make sense to me, as I'm not sure they can put enough around those three to make a run this year.

I don't see him leaving.  Any team not on the cusp of winning it all won't really benefit from him and most teams on the cusp can't afford him.

Uh LeBron hasn't officially announced where he's going yet.

Right, this makes the most sense.  Ray should be their #1 guy to get next for a big, fat, frontloaded 3-year deal that allows them to pay Rose when his rookie contract is up, then use the MLE to fill in Ray's spot when he retires or whatever.  They'd have 3 years of draft picks, MLE's, or whatever to find their next starting SG, so yeah, Ray could contribute to a team looking for a dynasty-type thing as well.  Chicago would contend next year, far sooner than any of the other teams rebuilding through FA this year, that's for sure.

Oh yeah, I better mark my social calendar for tomorrow night so I can find out.  Yes, that is exactly what I am going to do, uh-huh.
