We might not have to trade Ray for an expiring contract. If Bosh and Lebron join Chicago, trading Ray for Deng would make perfect sense.
Also,we might be able to persuade a team like Miami to S&T Joe Johnson for Pierce.Add that to A Beasley-Sheed trade.,and we have a decent team.

Another option is getting Chicago to S&T Rudy Gay for Ray& Sheed's expiring.A Rondo-Gay-Johnson core isn't bad, especially in the East. We're looking at a 45-50 win season and 4 seed.
In 2012, we can try to get a good free agent big man to spearhead this team. A healthy Andrew Bynum maybe?(After disinfecting him, of course)

Nobody is going to want KG. Even the knicks would prefer curry who is owed 10 mil, vs KG which is over 40 million. KG will be the highest paid guy in the league.

Maybe next year he's tradable, if there is no lock out.

Sign and trade Pierce for Melo.

Sign and trade Ray and Wallace to NY for Lee and Curry.

Figure out a good trade for KG.

HAHAHAHA... so Denver doesn't want to pay Melo big money, so they pay pierce instead? wow

Denver offered Melo a 3 year 65 million extension which is the maximum.  Denver isn't going to trade him because they are too cheap to pay him, they would trade him because it appears Melo is going to leave next summer and leave them with nothing.

I don't think this is true. It's possible that one of the teams that signs a player (or two) but doesn't think they have enough to win would want a player like KG. He had a few bad games in the playoffs but a lot of good games as well. Plus he's a star that doesn't need to lead his team in scoring, so he'd be a good player to mesh with these stars, just like he was in Boston.

Off the top of my head I'd say OKC, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, and the Bobcats would leap at the chance to have KG. I'm sure I'm missing some. Plus, there will likely be even more once this FA mess gets sorted out and teams figure they are one piece away from really contending.
