So Paul Pierce is going to opt out? This is a clear ploy to get an extension. The optimist in me says he is trying to keep the team together and take a necessary short term paycut to get more money later and still keep the window open for another two years. Statistically speaking, Paul cannot command a max deal but perhaps he is trying to help Wyc be in budget to afford the Allens, and keep Baby and Perk. The pessimist in me understands that Paul knows the window is closed, neither Doc or Ray Allen will be back and we are faced with a 1 year disaster before the lockout. I pray to Dr Naismath that he gives the Celtics one more chance at redemption but I certainly threw a Rasheed sized tantrum in his office on Judgement Day June 17, 2010 (Remember when the Cheering stopped?). Deep down in my heart, this does not feel very good.

So Perkins will be out until January? Sheed will retire? Who the heck is supposed to grab a rebound around here?

If we are rebuilding, what can we get for KG on the market? Chances are not for Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, and three number ones.

I know Ryan Gomes is waived. Can we get him back for minimum wage as Paul Allen foots the bill? That should be fair and just compensation for losing the 2007 lottery to Portland.

What if Boston won the lottery in 2007? Would Ainge pick Kevin Durant? Would a lineup of Perkins, Jefferson, Durant, Pierce, Rondo, Baby, Tony Allen, Gomes, and Telfair beaten the 2010 Lakers?

I wish that Joey Crawford had not given the Fakers 21 freebies in the 4th qtr of game 7 while legalizing Laker tackling on the Bostonians.

Some idiot in the office returned from his Russian holiday asking me what happened to my team? And Laker boy jumped in. Needless to say, the Q got his wirebrush out and made life miserable around the office.

I am drawing a picture of the Space Needle top with Stern hanging by his undies at the needle tip and the referees hanging down from the circular rim.

I could troll the Faker message boards about how Stern got his revenge on the Celtics for denying him his precious Kobe-Lebron matchup. The refereeing was a complete disgrace and was a blatant assault on our legacy.

What is Danny going to do? He needs to fill out his roster with only how many healthy players under contract? Yeesh.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

This summer is starting to smell like disaster.

That Game 7 loss could go down as one of the worst moments in Celtics history (even more so than it already has) as a result of the ensuing summer....

God, I hope not, though.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.
