Am I the only one who is still sick that the C's did not pick Anderson. I think he is a future star with the Spurs. Hopefully the C's did not make a mistake.
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

Well, since he was drafted by the Spurs that means he'll be a lot better than people would expect given his draft position.  He'll be part of their future along with George Hill, DeJuan Blair, Tiago Splitter and perhaps Ian Mahinmi.

I was sick most of the night, but figured it was the excesses of the night that led to that.

Normally with Danny's drafts I can follow pretty easily. I didn't and don't get this one. But all Avery has to do is prove me wrong, regardless of what Anderson does. I'll be happy if both become incredible pros.

It's always amazing to look back on drafts and see how many of these 'sure things' are changing tires somewhere.

I agree--I'm not sick about it, just puzzled. I took some heat for posting about it last night as there's a lot of draft experts on this board that says Bradley was the best player available. I just don't see where they get that from. He's a shooter who can't shoot, has a FT% like Rondo's, but can't get to the rim like Rondo. He's not a 2 but can't play PG yet, he has a good upside, but there's a ridiculous amount of players that you could say that about, a few of whom we drafted, i.e. Marcus Banks, Gerald Green. He can play D. Great. The problem is, our offense goes through stagnant bouts of sleepwalking at very times, particularly the 4th quarter as Phil Jackson pointed out and demonstrated by winning the 4th quarter of game 7 and what should have been our 18th gold ball. Anderson has a great NBA body and will only get stronger, his scoring and the ways that he scores improve every year and he's a good rebounder. You know, not that we need any of that... But--let's give Bradley a chance to prove us wrong, hopefully his ankle heals soon so he we can see if he'll crack the rotation.

The guy has a HORRRRIBLE assist-to-turnover ratio. He dribbles with his head down and has no chance at finishing at the NBA level.

Can he or can't he shoot?  I'm reading different scouting reports, and the Draft Express write up says he can shoot but can't finish.  He shot 37% from the college 3, which is respectable, especially given the fact that he wasn't some role player spotting up open treys all game.

Anyone follow college basketball closer than me wanna weigh in?

There are conflicting reports--37% college 3 is fine if you're taking a bunch of shots, that's a 2pt shot he'll have to make at the NBA level. The ESPN coverage says he has to improve his shooting and learn how to play the point. He can't shoot ft, and stats don't always tell the whole story, but 11 pts a game doesn't do much for me for a good shooter. I don't care that he was ranked higher than John Wall coming out of High School. Sebastian Telfair was a NY legend, Gerald Green was the second coming of Tracy McGrady, Marcus Banks---ehhh. The thing about Anderson is he has the stats and the documented improvement to actually show for it, and already has a NBA body and didn't come out of school as a Freshman. School high school players all you want, Perk did it and he can't even make a [dang] lay up anymore against real players. (I love Perk, BTW :) )
