The Allens are both UFAs but Tony has been here for 6 seasons, and Ray has built up 28 years of bird rights.

AND technically We hold Nate’s Bird Rights as well...

If i’m understanding this correctly we can resign all three of these guys without using up our MLE, is this correct?

We could possibly end up with:

Rajon Rondo/Nate Robinson
Ray Allen/Tony Allen
Paul Pierce/
Kevin Garnett/Glen Davis
Kendrick Perkins/Rasheed Wallace

+Mid Level Exception and Draft Picks.

????????????

I am sure Roy will be here soon to correct anything I miss, but you have 2 of 3 right.  The C's have Bird rights on the Allens, but they do not have Nate's Bird rights.  However, they do have non-bird rights on Nate, which means they can sign him for something like $4.5 million without using the MLE, and I am sure he would not take more than that.

thanks, i forgot about him waiving the bird rights.

but 4.5 definitely seems right for a Nate Robinson.

To answer differently, we can resign all three without using any of our MLE money.

exactly, and i think that this is huge. Because we need that MLE to get somebody in here for help (i have no idea who)

We can offer him anything from the minimum up to 4.5M without using the MLE, correct?

If 'sheed retires, i think a big man is a more pressing need to spend the MLE on.  And frankly, I don't know any bigs of 'sheed's playoff caliber willing to settle for the MLE.  I really hope he stays one more season and we use the MLE on a wing.  Then we resign Scal to a vet min, use our 2 draft picks, buy another first rounder and round out the roster with whatever we need.

Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

i think the draft determines what we do. If the best at #19 is a wing then we take him and try for a big with the MLE.

If it’s a big then we get a wing in free agency.
