If anyone here plays organized, or pickup basketball, you have to know how hard it is to go all out on BOTH ends of the court. Personally, i'm usually able to give 100 percent effort on one end or the other, but never both at the same time. It's just too draining. Especially if you have a tough cover on the defensive end....a guy who you have to basically chase all over the court. Ray is a professional, and i'm sure these guys have much greater conditioning than the average joe, but still, there's only so much the human body can do. Defending Kobe is without question, having an effect on his offensive game. It's obvious that Ray is devoting 100 percent of his effort to that end, instead of to the offensive end where he would normally, and i applaud him for that. We need that kind of effort on Kobe in order to win the series, so for this reason, i will give Ray a pass on his shooting numbers.
Good point; and he's been downright _awesome_ in guarding Kobe. He's come a long way since '07, where everyone thought him a defensive liability.

I think TA does a much better job on Kobe than Ray does. When Ray guards Kobe, Kobe immediately starts playing way more aggressive. I'm sure the fact neither like each other plays a role in that. That's not true with TA on him, TA does a better job bodying him up and making him into a jumper shooter.

As for Ray's shooting? I think he's just in a slump and you gotta give some credit to Fisher. Fisher has done a much better job on him after game 2. He is he staying with him more and getting physical which starts to frustrate Ray.

I suppose we can credit him for fouling Ray every possesion...

good job with that, Fish.....
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I like this line of Thought, as well as PosImpos.

Ray is due for one..and like a few posters here have stated, LA is absolutetly terrified of giving him any space, especially after game 2.

But I hope they close them out on tomorrow..get it over with.

I said it going into game 5, but not knowing about the problems with Walker, that Ray is due for a very big night. I have money on it...can't believe what online betting is paying for Ray's over/under on 15.5 points!
