Thibodeau is mostly responsible for making things happen for the Celts. We knew we could score but could we stop anyone. Especially the fast more agile teams. He has molded a defense that has broken the Triangle.

His new Coaching job may or may not be a success. If it isn't it won't  be because of lack of defense. He is in a no lose situation. If he doesn't make it as Coach many teams will be looking for a defensive genius. He will be well bank rolled and still be sought after if all fails. When the Roundball Nation talks about the Celts what is mentioned as their best asset?

Thibs has been awesome, and a big part of this team's success ... but I don't think he's been remotely "forgotten" ... his new job and salary are pretty much proof of that. Most people who are fans of this team know how special he is and has been to the Celtics ... and we all will miss him and his contributions, while wishing him the best of success in his new venture. ;)

TP for a great thread.
