I'm not sure either team can avoid foul trouble consistently with the quick whistles that favor false positives over false negatives.

We need to avoid the dumb fouls, like ill advised attempts to strip guys on help D or gratuitous hits like shoulders into the chest of guys running the court away from the ball. Avoiding those can help compensate for the phantom fouls that both teams are getting called for.
