Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion.

Well, my friends, tonight wasn't what we were expecting, but what has been what we've expected this post-season?

I'll start with the Miami series. Half the experts thought we'd lose to the Heat....even I wasn't sure what to expect. We stomped them in 5 games.

Against the Cavs, we didn't even have a chance, or did we? We blew game one, and laid a stinker in game 3 (familair?), only to bounce back and take three straight.

In Orlando, we took a commanding 3-0 lead, only to nearly blow it. But, we still won.

Against all odds, and even with a ton of doubt in nearly all of our hearts, we made the NBA Finals. If I would have said that two months ago, I would have been laughed at and mocked on this site. Honestly though, who would have thought.

My point is, sure it sucks to be down 2-1, but when this team has it's backs against the wall...they only seem to play better. KG showed signs of life, and Ray can't be any worse. Rondo will be more aggressive, and the Captain will make his presence felt.

Mark my words, the Celtics will win the 2010 NBA FInals.

No one underestimates this team.

They suck at home, we know that. What we don't know is Why? How can a team play so well on the road & be a terrible home team. I don't know what it is that makes this team so horrible at home. Going down 1-2 to LA isn't a fun situation especially with two more consecutive home games. If they go down 2-3 to the lakers, they aren't winning two more games in LA. That's asking too much. Game3 & Game4 are most wins. And the likelihood of winning both games isn't great. Celtics can't afford to lose any more games at home.

I never counted this team out from day 1.....but tonight's loss def did hurt especially since we almost had cut it down to just 1 pt like mid way through the 4th.

I was scared that we were going to repeat the same mistake we did in the Cavs series.....steal HC from them...just to give them back a win on our court.


We do play better when our backs are against the wall, but being down 2-1 right now is a tough situation...we need to win the next 2 games and make no mistakes.

This is the finals and at this stage there is absolutely no room for mistakes.

Nothing this team does will surprise me, other than them giving less than 110% from here on out.

You know something? I laugh when ESPN or all the Laker fans bring out all those stats. Like how Phil is 47-0 after winning game 1 and how the winners of game 3 after the series tied 1-1 wins the series 100% of the time. Because people expect this series and this team to be conventional and follow the norms, when all this time the Celtics have been defeating odds and norms this entire post season.

Heck, my floormate in my college dorm even bet me small money that the Heat would beat the Celtics in the first round. (I took up that bet in a heartbeat of course).

This team is special. Home Court does not guarantee victories, as both teams can win on the road. It's just a matter of who wants it more and who executes better. The more I watch and ponder, the more I think this series will go 7 games. And needless to say, this has been the closest and most competitive finals in recent years, LOVIN IT!
