Obviously alot of factors went into last night's stunning win. I would like to single out Sheed's great defense and rebounding. It seems as if Sheed is willing himself to be better on the boards, and moving quicker on the defensive rotations, impressive when you factor in his age and his recent back spasm problems. It also seems he realizes that Kevin may not have it this series, and therefore he needs to pick up the slack. Very impressed with his game last night.  He is a very necessary long weapon we will need against this Laker lineup.

Don't forget, Sheed was a big part of that Detroit team that swept 3 at home vs. Lakers in 2004.  Here is to hoping history will repeat itself!

I was very impressed with his energy on the boards.  I didn't know he had that energy in him.

If KG continues to struggle, Sheed immediately becomes on of our more important players.

Sheed was excellent last night.  He was all over the boards and was hustling on defense.  I was very impressed.

Agreed, but Sheed has always been essential in this series, regardless of how Garnett plays.  LA has a bigger front line overall and Bynum is playing well.  Glen Davis has had a few good plays here and there, like the charge he took on Kobe, but he doesn't match up well with either Bynum (too big) or Gasol (too good).

I might add that S. Williams will probably not play for the rest of this series due to his awful 4 minutes, so that puts pressure on Sheed to perform.  Also why not activate Scal over Quis?

Sheed was also solid in game 1. He didn't back down to Gasol, had that nice block on him, a 3 pointer and a lot of aggression on the boards. Sheed has come to play.

KG still looks out of sorts, psyched out or something. He did a couple nice things at the end though.

Bynum's height advantage over Perk and Gasol's seeming (1.5 inch?) height advantage over KG is rough. Sheed is playing TALL and is unafraid. Here's to hoping his back condition improves on the flight home.
