Larry Joe Bird from 1984 would be first choice.   Kevin McHale from 1984 would be second choice.   Bill Russell from 1965 would be third choice.

#1 -- Larry Bird -- The Celtics matchup very well defensively against the Lakers but they need offense and Larry is the best offensive player in the club's history.

#2 -- Bill Russell -- greatest facilitator of all-time
#3 -- Younger Pierce
#4 -- Dave Cowens -- Can you imagine Cowens and KG alongside one another? Wow!
#5 -- Kevin McHale

All wet about Russell's stats......terrible foul shooter until fourth quarter and then would make them in the clutch....it's all about the will to win

Props for not going with the obvious choice.  Loved the X Man when he was on!

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
After watching the beginning of Game 2, where Bynum and Gasol are torching us:  definitely McHale.
