The interesting thing is it may have been better if the NBA had NOT rescinded that 7th technical.

Perk would have been suspended for Game 6 but the Celtics didn't need him to close out the Magic.

That way, he'd have 1 extra tech before he gets suspended in the Finals.  The NBA rescinding that technical indirectly helped the Lakers in the Finals as Perk's going to play and respond in a more docile manner in this series.
Anything is POSSSIBBBLLEEE!!!!!

I’m sure Gasol will flail his arms around in the air like he always does and Perk will pick up a ridiculous foul, which will then lead to a T.

Here's a potentially stupid hypothetical, but let me throw it out there anyway:

Let's say Boston is up 15 with a minute left tonight - does it make any sense to put Perk in the game and have him intentionally earn a T?

Here's my thinking: Even the most optimistic C's fans can't expect (but they can always hope) Boston to win both games 1 and 2 in LA. Once we've got game 1 in the bag, why not have Perk get a T and take his suspension for game 2? First, it could actually provide extra motivation for the boys in green to gut out a win for Perk in game 2. But assuming they lose game 2, you go back to Boston tied 1-1, Perk has extra rest, and Perk has a small T buffer for the rest of the series.

The only potential downside is that if Perk really can't control himself, he could get 2 more Techs in Boston and be suspended for a potential clinching/elimination game...
