Folks, I think we're thinking a bit small. We need more dynastical-like themes to get us through the post-season.
Right now, the Rondo era is being formed through a top tier all star PG, excellent defending center (Perks), and now, a younger backup combo guard in Nate. In itself, this is a twenty something dynamo. A mix of veteran-ed youths. All of them have years of strength ahead of them.
Then, HoFers: Ray Ray, Pierce, and KG but at sixth men-like 15-20 mpg, thus enabling all of 'em to play for another 3-4 years in the league.
And now, add in veteran free agents from around the league, shopping for a ring. This, I believe, is the Rondo era. Thus, let's say there's another Barkley-like fella, who wants a title but clearly lacks the ability to rally the troops... he can stop by Boston, snatch either the MLE or Vet's minimum, and provided he swallows his pride and allows Rondo to call all the shots, we repeat as champs within the next few years w/o problems.
