Anyone remember in 2007 when the Spurs finished with a record similar to the Celtics this season (wikipedia says it was 58-24, but I thought they were much worse). Everyone said Duncan was getting too old, and Ginobili (sp) had lost a step, and Parker wasn't ready to carry the team on his own. During the season they had injuries to key players Brent Barry, Michael Finley, and Ginobili, and I believe it was Bruce Bowen who mentioned they were a bit bored during the regular season. Either way they turned it on in the playoffs and went on to win the title.
Does this sound a bit like another team?
