I bought tickets this morning to go to the game tomorrow night and Im from New York so i only get to see the C's on occasion.  Anything I should do in town before the game or at the game or anything of that nature would be great.  Maybe even some sign ideas although I will be pretty high up Im assuming.
The NBA..where "this whole sport is a business and the referees decide games and David Stern is a snake and is only in this for the money" happens.

I'd like to see a anderson verajao picture with a clown nose imposed on to go with his silly clown hair. I actually respect the guy's effort but he's the enemy and clowns are evil.

The Garden should give free Celtics elbow pads and head bands to the first 5,000 fans.

Don't wear any NY gear....

And Welcome to the city! Everyone enjoys Fanueil Hall for a bite and a beer.  Stop by the North Station train area and touch Red for luck.  He is on the wall near the bar in the station.

Boy am I jealous.

The last 2 seasons I attended one game from each playoff series including game 1 of the finals in 08.

That was when I was in college and money was like number 4080 on my list of priorities.

Now I save money for things like new hardwood floors and reseeding my lawn. Oh what a difference a year makes.

I'll be there.

To everybody else going, you guys should check out: http://twitter.com/CelticsChants.

It's "Bandwagon" Bill Simmons' idea to come up with some creative chants to mess with Lebron. Some of the early favorites are:

"New York Knicks... New York Knicks..."

"Roger Bacon... Roger Bacon"

Apparently Roger Bacon was a team he lost to in a high school State Championship game that he calls the worst loss of his life.

I'll be there tonight and i'll be ROWDY as always, haha.

I used to think ideas like unique chants were cool and fun, but we don't need it.  I especially feel this way after watching/listening to the embarrassing crowd and sound system in Cleveland...

A list of the thing that bothers me about the Q:

-pop-rap songs blaring during every stoppage in play
-a snippet from the godfather playing after Mo Williams hits a 3
-a strange tick sound when the shot-clock winds down
-super mario "1-up" soundclips played after a made free-throw
-various mocking soundclips played when an opposing player turns the ball over or misses a free throw
-and finally, the FAKE de-fense chant that blares from the loudspeakers all game!!!!!

We don't need to fake it or conspire to distract the opponent like other fraudulent crowds/arenas. Let it come naturally - plus there's just nothing more impressive than an entire crowd chanting DE-FENSE during the opponents first possession of the game.

Go C's!!!!!!!!

While I agree with you about the manufactured stuff from the Q, I think there's a big difference when it's created by the crowd. Being able to get 18,000 people screaming something has the ability to actually change the course of the game. Whether it motivates the Cavs or throws them off their game is the challenging part.

Another benefit is influencing the refs. If we just clap and cheer, that's not going to do much to the refs. If the entire crowd chants BS after a bad call, they might change their tune a little bit.

Either way, should be a fun game and I'll be getting a little belligerent, too. Go Cs!!
