God, it was hell sitting through that.

Doc saved the game with those back-to-back timeouts.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale

Yes, very good game management.

I realized we can be the best defensive team in NBA history if we never turn the ball over and give our opponents points.

How man FG's did we give the Cavs in Game 1 and Game 2 off our bone headed turnovers?

When fouls after fouls where getting called and Pierce picked up that tech and there was a bit of a delay there, I started to worry because the game had already slowed down and our rhythm got out of whack. We lost our momentum and energy. The crowd got into it, the Cavs got energy and we had trouble turn it up back again. Plus, those fouls meant that they were scoring a lot of points with little time running off.

It's true. We are clearly better than Cleveland in my mind. But also clearly dumber.

We already were the best defensive team in NBA history, in 2007-2008. I don't think we're getting back to that level ever again.

But we still can play more than enough defense to win a title. We just need to avoid turning it over...
