Not overspending for Posey was never a problem. It was not using the money for something else of worth that offseason that was a problem.
But, it no longer matters. The Celtics have their 8 man playoff rotation right now and it is working for them.
Without question. Tony Allen was still brain-dead at that point, and the Captain was out of gas by the time the playoffs started.
Posey's no longer an issue, and hasn't been since the season started.
More like he was suffering from quite a few injuries, but who cares about details.
Tony had a pretty good season last year until the injuries came.
If he had a good season, then why did Doc bury him in the playoffs?
Tony was Tony last season. Whatever light that was years overdue to go on in his head happily seems to have come on this year, so Posey really isn't necessary.
I guess you missed the whole sentence about him being injured. He did have that ankle surgery right after the playoffs were over.
And if we're talking about Doc, why did Doc play Marbury who wasn't much of a player for us last year so much? Why did he play Cassell so much 2 years ago?
Even with the injuries, I would have played him quite a bit more in the Orlando series, but who knows how bad he had it and how much it factored into Doc's decision.
