I've not had the opportunity to see any Charlotte home games (not even when the Celtics have played them) and I've gotta say, their home crowd is absolutely rockin' right now. I certainly hope they can give the Magic more trouble than they have been, looking pretty good right now. Time will tell I suppose. But back on topic, I don't think I've seen many more crowds more engaged during the game, pretty awesome environment to play in I'd imagine.

SG: Dwyane Wade / Gerald Henderson / Christian Eyenga

Who whould have thought the Bobcats arena would be sold out and so loud? I'm really surprised but I like it, I like this Bobcats team. And MJ is going bonkers on the sideline in the 4th, fun to see. ;D

It's kind of crazy really to see that the Charlotte crowd is louder and larger than the Miami one, I mean, the arena was half empty for game 3 and yet they have Wade on their team!

The Bobcats can't protect the paint even with Howard out. Not good for them. That just means better FT shooters are going to the line instead of Howard.

I went to just about every Hornets game back in the day. We sold out for years and years even if we stunk. And the place could always get the volume up.

People in Charlotte had a bad taste for the NBA here after what happened. But if they keep making it to the playoffs then that will probably change.

First, MJ was an absolute, unmitigated disaster as the Washington GM.  He was terrible.  He was a GREAT player, but why do people ASSUME that he will be a great owner bec. he was a great player???

Second, the Bobcats do NOT have a first round pick this year and they have NO cap room.  They have to re-sign Felton to a multi-year deal and that will likely start at a minimum of 7 million.  What you see is what you get, which is a slightly above average team with NO room for improvement. Stephen Jackson is 32 already and will begin to decline in the next 1-3 years rather quickly.  Chandler and Nazr are nowhere near worth their contracts, not to mention Diop (what a disastrous trade that was asked for by Larry Brown).  Felton is an average PG that is a below average defender (who is giving up about 26 points per game to Nelson in this series thus far).  I bet that Charlotte will overpay to keep him and end up regreting it in 3-4 years.

I live about 40 miles from their arena, and this is certainly good for the community.  But, we need to be realistic with where they are headed.  I see them headed to being a marginal playoff team that will never enter the elite in the East, just as the Hornets were.  That being said, this team is a long way from even those Hornets' teams.

nice critique, though depressing for charlotte fans. you have my sympathy....and a tp for a good analysis.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm not a MJ fan at all and I'm not sure what kind of GM he'll be. My only hope is that because he's got so much of his own money in this team that he'll actually TRY this time. Who knows?
I'd rather have had Bird in the first place.

As for the Hornets, it's hard to be great with a cheap owner who wouldn't pay coaches or players.

Why would Charlotte overpay for Felton after watching Nelson disembowel him in this series?

I've been saying for years that Felton needed to go. With the way he and dough boy Sean May played for them perhaps they've learned not to draft UNC players. Or just get ones that don't suck.

The reason that they will sign Raymond long-term is that they do NOT have a replacement for him.  DJ is not ready.  Really, he is NOT a pure PG.  One thing that I can say about Felton is that he is usually very clutch.  I would put his play in the last 2 minutes in the top 10 of starting PG's in the league.  It is just the first 46 that really sucks.
