When he said that just because a team has X number of rotation players, it doesn't mean that the team has great depth.  Depth is a result of your bench players being better than the bench players of other teams.  So while the Celts have ten or so players that maybe can play in a rotation somewhere, they don't really have great depth.  Case in point in Michael Finley.  He wasn't good enough to be in SA's rotation but he is playing in ours.

I agree with this Van Gundy statement too.

Robinson, Allen, Finley, Daniels, Baby, and Sheed all deserve playing time...But that is just too many players to crack a solid rotation. I would like to see a playoff rotation of 8 players, but where does that leaves the other three guys on the bench that can play too?

I would like to see a playoff rotation of players who produce. doesnt matter who they are, just productive players, if its all 10 play all 10; if its only 6 play those 6.
